On bended knee, the Savior came,

With water, grace, and not for fame.

He washed the feet of friend and foe,

A King who stooped to serve below.

Bread was broken, wine was poured,

A final meal before the sword.

Yet love was written in His tone—

"This is my body, not my throne."

He knelt, He served, He shared, He gave,

Knowing soon He'd face the grave.

But in that upper room, so still,

He taught us love is greater still.
